APCA State Coordinator
Reports to: Regional Advisory Committee Coordinator and/or APCA Executive Director

Qualifications:
An APCA State Coordinator must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience with the APCA. They should have some work
experience in the planning and execution of educational sessions, campus activities event coordination, drive in workshops and APCA programming
conferences. They must provide a letter of financial and time-off support from the college they currently represent.
General Responsibilities:
The State Coordinator sends general updates on campus activities events and happenings to their regional public
relations & membership development coordinator and to the APCA school members in their state via the APCA website. They will act as a liaison
between their individual states, the region, and the APCA. They will help to develop new programs for their regional conference, help to retain
current members, expand membership growth, train new leaders and make recommendations for new programs at the regional conference RAC meeting.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Attend all the Regional Advisory Committee meetings.
- State coordinators are encouraged to hold a one-day drive in for campus activities staff professional development during their term of office.
The drive in will be developed with APCA assistance.
- They must be able to attend (with financial support & time-off from their represented college) the Regional Conference & National
Conferences.
- Submit a semi-annual report, (due February 1st & October 1st) the RAC-1 (Regional Advisory Committee – form 1, to be filled out online at
www.apca.com)
- Helps communicate information about APCA's procedures, policies, and programs to the colleges and student leaders in their individual
state via articles submitted to their regional public relations and membership coordinator.
- Assist the APCA office with the promoting the association within their region and individual state.
- Assist the APCA office with the recruitment of committee officers and volunteers for regional and national conferences from their individual
state.
- Undertakes any additional public relation programs or activities as assigned by the Regional Coordinator
- Recommends appointments of Regional Advisory Committee (RAC) Officers.
- Assists with identifying trainers for the Regional Conferences.
- Submits one article for publication in the APCA regional newsletter per year.
