APCA Regional Advisory Committee
Associate Representative

Reports to:  Regional Advisory Committee Coordinator and/or APCA Executive Director
Term of Office: One year   Number of Positions: 2
APPLY FOR THIS POSITION

Qualifications: The Associates Coordinator must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience with the APCA, as well as, two (2) years of performance experience, showcasing experience, CO-OP Buying relations that are relevant to campus activities.  They must provide a letter of financial and time-off support from the companies and/or agencies they currently represent.

General Responsibilities: The Associates Coordinator of the RAC acts as a liaison between the Associates and the APCA. They will help to develop new programs, retain and recruit new associate members for the APCA and submit ideas for new methods of helping associates to accomplish their objectives in the college market through APCA involvement and policies.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Attend all the Regional Advisory Committee meetings.
  • They must be able to attend (with financial support & time-off from their represented business) the Regional Conference & National Conferences.
  • Submit a semi-annual report, (due February 1st & October 1st) the RAC-5 (Regional Advisory Committee – form 5, to be submitted online at www.apca.com)
  • Report any new issues concerning the associates to the RAC and the APCA.
  • Assist the APCA in developing new associate programs to aid in the business aspects of the APCA – associate marketplace effort.
  • Recommends appointments of Associates members to the Advisory Committees.
  • Submits one article per year for publication to the APCA student activities journal.
  • Undertakes any additional public relation program or activities as assigned by the Regional Coordinator.
  • Will Assist the APCA national office in determining showcase and exhibiting policies for APCA conferences and workshops.
  • Communicates information about APCA's procedures, policies, and programs to the associates, agencies, and performers.
