Showcasing Acts

Showcasing Artists

Originally from London, Charles Berthoud [pronounced BEAR-too] has been very busy since moving to Boston in 2011. While studying at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Charles played over 300 shows in all four corners of the US, opening for acts such as Goo Goo Dolls and Christina Perri. He co-wrote and published an instructional book that teaches his signature two-handed tapping style of bass playing, and his original music has appeared on national TV channels such as Univision. Now Charles is changing the way we think about the bass guitar. His years of training and performing have led to his unique mastery of the bass as a solo instrument. Combining that with beatboxing, Charles covers popular songs from Disney and artists such as Ed Sheeran and Meghan Trainor in a way that has never been seen, and write beautiful original music.

Olivia Lane is strong, dynamic, smart, funny and above all, an entertainer. Much of her confidence is rooted in her Texas upbringing. Olivia ultimately landed in Nashville, where her self-titled debut EP stirred interest throughout and beyond Music Row in 2016. Olivia bids influence to Linda Ronstadt and Carole King but has the production and energy of Shania Twain. “If I have to categorize myself I’d have to say I’m pop country. Growing up I was a musical melting pot, but country music always had the lyrics that drew me in." Most recently, Lane has been writing and recording new music while releasing one song at a time directly to her fans, which Lane did with her release of ‘Wrong Girl’ & ‘Devil and You.’!

Generations: Mike & Aleksi Glick is a New York City-based father-and-son led group blending soulful vocals with virtuoso guitar playing. Mike (lead vocals, guitar) toured the USA - and played Europe, Asia and the Caribbean with an earlier group, The New Song Project. Robert Palmer, then with The New York Times, wrote, “More rousing and musically substantive than the music of city folksingers of previous generations,” while Pete Seeger called him “one of the best songwriters going.” Mike is now back, years later with his son and new band member Lindsey Wilson. Aleksi (lead guitar, vocals) also leads his rock/jazz group Snack Cat – as well as being an in-demand sideman. He has played duos with such jazz masters as Paul Bollenback, Ed Cherry and Vic Juris. His jazz trio appears at several NYC hot spots and he is a member of the Seth Weaver Big Band. Aleksi has also composed music for film and television.Currently Generations has added singer/songwriter Lindsey Wilson to its lineup. Lindsey, a much in demand singer, brings great harmonies, energy and even more depth to the group’s soulful music. Generations last recording, “Two for the Blues,” featured a mixture of blues, poetic inspiration and political commentary, but in the current political situation we feel impelled to bring our progressive and satirical content more to the fore with such songs as Let's Build A Wall Around Jesus, Alternative Facts, and Katrina Blues (from our Blues CD). Generations is a greatly versatile group with elements of R&B, folk, salsa and samba. Listen closely, and you may hear echoes of Phil Ochs, Joni Mitchell, Pete Seeger, Eric Clapton and even Frank Zappa, among others.

Hi, I am David Schaub…and I am obsessed with helping people find their purpose in life, to find hope, and more importantly to live a life of freedom. I believe the way to find these things is by having faith in Jesus. I take next steps with Him in my life not to become significant, but because His love for me has made me significant through His grace.I grew up fatherless, was arrested four times before I was 20, but through it all I’ve experienced great success as a business owner and bought my first home when I was 24.I have been through a lot, yet I remain grateful for every challenge life has thrown at me. I live in Buffalo NY where I love to spend time with friends and family. Two things that drive me in life: Building relationships and taking next steps with Jesus. My quest is to live a life of purpose and everyday life gets more exciting! My desire is to help and empower others to find their purpose. Through my blogging, speaking and building relationships throughout the country, I have the opportunity to be real and vulnerable so that others can have the courage to do so as well, and to not allow fear to have a foothold in life and stifle their dreams.

His mother named him Jeffrey, but his friends call him Griff. He is currently in a wheelchair, but not forever!Jeff always dreamed of playing sports on the ‘big stage’! As a kid he envisioned playing college football as a receiver. He was one step closer to fulfilling his dream when a construction accident left him broken and paralyzed from the waist down. His life and dreams were shattered but not defeated. During those dark days he had a decision to make: he could stay down and quit or get back up and succeed. He chose the latter.“Jeff is one of my best friends and heroes. Not because of what he went through but because of what went through him that created such resolve and determination.”–Mike Schlappi – Four-time Paralympian gold medalist and motivational speakerAs an ordinary man living life from a wheelchair, Jeff has accomplished some extraordinary things. He played in the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens, Greece, and is a silver medalist for the USA men’s wheelchair basketball team. Griff is a national champion who played for the Utah Wheelin’ Jazz and is a four-time All-Star MVP. He was the number one men’s wheelchair tennis player in the state of Utah, won the St. George Marathon, has two Guinness Book of World Records, and is the author of the award-winning book I’Mpossible: Desire. Dream. Do. He believes everyone has the power and potential to accomplish the impossible if they take the proper steps.During his 16-year career, Griffin’s teaching style, humor, and personality have made him one of the most liked and sought-after teachers. He earned his master’s degree in education and curriculum and created a worldwide peer-to-peer leadership program for Third-World countries that was recognized at the United Nations in New York City. Griff considers publishing his book one of his greatest accomplishments since he got a D- in English and was told he would never be able to write a coherent sentence.Griff started two successful businesses and created a nonprofit organization called the ‘Road to Recovery’, which impacts thousands of injured vets and physically disabled persons. He is passionate about progress, enjoys mentoring youth, distributing wheelchairs to those in need, and giving hope through his humanitarian efforts. Griff married his best friend Emily and together they have four beautiful children. He enjoys eating pizza, playing games, and exercising. These successes, although impressive, do not define who Griff is.
