ADVISOR EXPERIENCE

                                                  

Conference Kickoff
Come learn how to make the most of your conference experience, learn insider tips, get involved, and just have fun! You will receive tons of cool prizes and special gifts will be given to those who arrive early. Represent your school with a chant, cheer, dance, or simple hand wave! We can't wait to see your school spirit! 

Save your Budget in Cooperative Buying
Need to save money? APCA Cooperative buying sessions will take place to help schools save money by forming tours of showcasing artists and services. Schools meet in an organized setting to stretch their event budgets. Pre-conference workshops will be held for anyone needing information on the APCA cooperative buying program or our full time enrollment cooperative buying discounts. Enjoy Live Showcases
At each conference, we have live showcases of the hottest entertainment in the college market. You and your student board will have the opportunity to preview a variety of live talent to get an idea of how you could display them at your campus events. Network in Exhibit Halls
While you’re in the exhibit halls, network with fellow students, book attractions for your campus events, or experience the latest cool novelty items! Every APCA Exhibit Hall will feature vendors (APCA member agencies, artists, speakers, etc.) representing the showcasing attractions. All exhibiting vendors are APCA members, and bound by APCA ethics and sensitivity guidelines. Conference exhibitors can be found in their booths during designated exhibit hall hours. They can answer questions, explain rider and contract terms, and generally give member schools all the information they need to bring an artist or service to their campus event. Professional Development for Student Life Advisors
The APCA regional conference hosts a series of networking events, educational sessions and keynotes just for advisors. We encourage advisors to present educational sessions and volunteer to further their professional development at our conferences (spots are limited and not guaranteed - apply early).

STUDENT EXPERIENCE

                                                  

Conference Kickoff & Late Night Events
Leave with a lifetime of memories and new friends! All while learning how to create better activities on your campus & network with other students who do exactly what you do, program campus activities!

Graphics Competition
All graphic designs submissions will be accepted on site at the conference. The categories include: Printed Advertising, T-shirt,  and Novelty Items. For more information on guidelines click here.

Conference Event Crew
When registering, students have the opportunity to sign-up to volunteer as an APCA Event Crew Member. The volunteer assignments include: educational session assistants, exhibit hall swag team, meal ticket takers, photography, social media ambassadors, decorations, and much more! Positions are limited. To participate, attend the mandatory Event Crew Orientation the Thursday night before every APCA conference. All Event Crew Members receive a free t-shirt. ribbon to add their conference badge. 

Educational Sessions
Any organization that plans campus activities will benefit from the educational sessions at the conference. Example topics include: student government, marketing, leadership, engagment, assessment and much much more! 

Esports League *Newly Added*
Get first-hand experience at what it's like to partcipate in an esports league against other students in your region! Each regional winner will advance to the national competition in Orlando, FL for a grand prize!

APCA Serves 

Since 2011, APCA has provided an opportunity for students to particiapte in service projects on-site at APCA regional and national conferences. These projects include making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for local shelters serving the homeless and hungry, creating doggie tug toys out of old t-shirts to give to animal shelters, providing hugging hands to nursing home residents and other seniors, sending Flat Stanley messages of suppport to service people overseas, assembling care kits for victims of sexual assault, making boo-boo bunnies for kids, and much more. These projects are done on-site in the conference registration area and are free for you to participate in, allowing us to impact the community where our event is held and also to give you ideas to take back and implement on your campus.
